31 Annual Kansas Antique Bottle & Postcard Show - This show and sale has antiques of all kinds but it emphasizes bottles and postcards. There are insulators, fruit jars, tokens, books, small advertising items, even some small furniture items at times. It is held in conjunction with the monthly flea market in Hutchinson (next building over). There is plenty of table space for dealers and always some good finds for collectors as well as the opportunity to have an item appraised or to sell something to the dealers. So bring in your old bottles, postcards, and tokens for free appraisals. Free Admission!

11 Annual Poker Run - This poker run starts at 2:00 pm at Hobert-detter field in Carey Park and goes to Newton, Hesston, McPherson, Little River and back to Clic's in Hutchinson. There is a $10.00 per poker hand. All proceeds are for Relay For Life. There will be prizes for best hand and worst hand. Raffel tickets will be sold for donated items.

4 Fireworks Show at the Kansas State Fairgrounds - The City of Hutchinson is partnering with Showalter Fireworks to bring you this year's community Fourth of July celebration on July 4th at 9:45 pm at the Kansas State Fairgrounds parking lot at 23rd and Plum. The spectacular firework display is free and open to the public.

No vehicle access will be allowed inside the 23rd and Plum parking lot except for public safety vehicles. All other Kansas State Fair parking areas will be open and free to the public.

For safety reasons, the use of personal fireworks on the Kansas State Fairgrounds property is prohibited before, during and after the fireworks display.

An alternative date of July 5 at 9:45 has been set in case of bad weather. Rescheduling information will be made available thanks to Eagle Communications.

6 - 15KS0207024e029 - Hutchinson Kansas State Fair - For 10 days each September, Hutchinson is home to the largest event in Kansas - the Kansas State Fair, where visitors will find good old-fashioned fun. The Fair features over 280-acres of the best of Kansas' agriculture, livestock and commerce, as well as live entertainment. Great concerts under the stars, PRCA rodeo, auto racing, numerous free attractions, & free entertainment.

The agrarian heritage of Kansas is saluted with numerous livestock shows, crop exhibits and farm equipment displays. A wide range of domestic arts, floriculture, crafts and professional arts are displayed as well. An innovative education program for teachers to bring their classes offers an experience like no other.

Popular Fair attractions include an animal birthing center and an exotic animal petting zoo. Concerts range from country to pop at the 10,000-seat grandstand and three other stages throughout the grounds fun.

The fairground facilities provide an appealing and functional setting for more than 250 events annually including: auto races, flea markets, livestock shows, the Mennonite Relief Sale, motor coach conventions and trade shows.

27 - 29KS0207024e047 - Hutchinson Annual Downtown Hutchinson Rod Run & Classic Car Show - The Annual Downtown Hutchinson Rod Run and Classic Car Show will be held Friday through Sunday in downtown Hutchinson, Kansas. Main Street from Third Street to Avenue B will be blocked off for foot traffic only so that spectators can admire the Show & Shine of 400 beautiful classic and antique cars & trucks, custom rods, street rods, muscle cars, motorcycles, custom trucks, rat rods, exotic vehicles & wrapped vehicles! Vehicle registration is $30 for judged vehicles pre-registered, $15 for motorcyles pre-registered, and $35 and $20 day of show.

Friday begins at noon with vehicle registration, show & shine, refreshments, vendor displays and demonstrations, happy hour from 3pm - 6pm and at 6pm, a Main Street Cruise and parade of the show cars followed with live musical entertainment by "King Midas" downtown until 9pm.

Saturday's schedule begins with a live radio broadcast, "Under the Hood" with Dr. Phil on stage at First and Main Street at 9am followed by Opening Ceremony and welcome at 10am. Registered vehicles will have the opportunity to participate in a $1,000 city-wide Poker Run from 9am - noon. From 5 - 7pm spectators won't want to miss a high octane Burnout Show at Avenue A and Main. Refreshments will be available all day.

Sunday activities continue at 10am with show and shine, vendor displays and demonstrations and great food and drinks, winding down at 2pm with the awards ceremony in Memorial Hall. The event is free to spectators and all are welcome!
