28 Tour de Shawnee - A Shawnee staple, Tour De Shawnee is a cycling ride that offers various lengths and routes for different levels of riders! Traditionally kicking off early on Sunday morning, riders are provided an on-street, bicycle-friendly route, escorted by Shawnee police. Cyclists of all ages and experience are encouraged to participate. It's the perfect first-timer race or one to hone your skills.

30 - 2 Old Shawnee Days - Celebrate at the kick-off of the summer season that has been a tradition for five generations in this region at Old Shawnee Days. 8 Wheels & Dreams Car, Truck & Bike Show - Over 250 vehicles will be lined up along Johnson Drive and Nieman Road 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., so move fast the first 300 entries will receive a free goody bag. Pre-registration for the car show is $20, and registration on the day of the event is $25. The day will also include door prizes, trophies and a grand prize of $500 cash. Downtown food vendors will be out selling food and drinks for all automotive fans who come to browse the vehicles on display. Pre-registration forms can be found at Hartman Hardware, 11018 Johnson Drive, and Encore, 11006 Johnson Drive.

14 Friends of Shawnee Town Arts & Crafts Fair - Meander around 120 vendors showcasing their handmade, homemade and re-purposed items. There will also be several food vendors on site to meet the needs of your taste buds! Did we mention FREE kids' activities? That's right, several areas for the kids to learn and play for FREE! 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.

Live music will be heard from the Gazebo throughout the day from 10 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. There's literally something for everyone! Admission is just $1 per person collected at the gates. 20 - 21 Shawnee Great Grillers' Blues and BBQ Contest - Shawnee Town never smelled so good. Or maybe it has, once a year, every year, for over 20 years. Because for over 20 years now, Blues and Barbecue, the Shawnee Great Grillers State Championship has graced the lawns and parking lot of Shawnee Town 1929. And every year the intoxicating smell of smoked meats and barbecue delights continues to draw the crowds and the cooks. 114 teams will compete for prize money and bragging rights. It's a very family oriented atmosphere here and that's why people keep coming back.

Both Friday and Saturday, families filter through the parking lot and Shawnee Town, visiting the pits and food vendors. Friday night, visitors packed the grounds for a concert on the Bandstand which put the "Blues" in "Blues & BBQ.

On Saturday, guests could pay $5 to be the judges in the people's choice pulled pork competition.

27 Shawnee Oktoberfest - Crank up the accordions and head on over to Shawnee's annual Oktoberfest. Hosted by the Shawnee German-American Club, this year's celebration is FREE for the whole family. This fun and festive event will feature authentic German food and beverages, along with live music from bands and dance groups. Children will be able to enjoy a variety of games and activities. All in attendance will also have the opportunity to win prizes by buying raffle tickets that benefit a local charity. German or not, this event is wunderbar! 5:30 pm - 11:00 pm.
