Branched Oak Camping

Camping is permitted in nine public use areas around the lake. Facilities and opportunities range from modern to primitive. All campers must register, and overnight camping fees are charged in addition to the required Park Entry Permit. Self-registration stations are located in each campground.

As the largest body of recreational water within 100 miles of Lincoln and Omaha, Branched Oak is popular with powerboaters and sailboaters, alike. Boat ramps are available in Areas #2, #4, #5, #8 and #11.

Quail, dove, pheasant, squirrel, cottontail rabbit and white tail deer abound in the woods and grasslands around Branched Oak. Waterfowl, too, are plentiful and hunting is permitted as posted. Branched Oak is closed to dark (Canada)

Two designated swimming beaches and associated picnic areas are located in Area #6 on Liebers Point and Area #10 on the lake's north side. Both are open daily from 8 a.m. to 9:30
