Ladies of the Lakes Quilt Show
- There will be over 200 new quilts with a large special exhibit of antique quilts. An antique quilt, lovingly restored by guild members, will be raffled to visitors to the show. Visitors may make a block for inclusion in a David's House quilt that is being made during the show. As many know, David's House is a "home away from home" for children being treated at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Hanover NH. Unnecessary Farce
- The Village Players present the hilarious comedy Unnecessary Farce Friday and Saturday, July 30, 31 and August 6, 7 at 8:00; Sunday, August 8 at 2:00 at their theater on Glendon Street in Wolfeboro. Unnecessary Farce will keep you in stitches from beginning to end. The setting is early morning in two adjoining rooms in an economy motel. Two inexperienced police officers, Eric Sheridan and Billie Dwyer, have been sent to videotape a meeting between the local Mayor and the town's accountant, with the aim of uncovering an embezzlement scheme. But the day is not starting off well. The high jinks involve the mayor, an attractive accountant, an uptight security officer, a Scottish hit man and the mayor's wife. Will the embezzled money be recovered? Can Billie be saved before Todd plays the bagpipes? Will Eric and Karen get to have sex? And can the cops manage to capture the crooks without resorting to...
