Santa Fe International Folk Art Market
- The largest, juried international folk art market in the U.S. returns for its fourth year. Santa Fe provides a uniquely supportive and beautiful setting for this meeting of artists, dealers, collectors and folk art enthusiasts. With expected attendance of over 20,000, the market will feature over 113 artists from 41 countries. The artists will exhibit arts and crafts ranging from embroidery, felt work, beading, jewelry and textiles, to clothing, leatherwork, wood carvings, paintings, pottery & more. Annual Spanish Market
- The Annual Spanish Market takes place every year in Santa Fe in July on the third Saturday, and it is the largest gathering of the traditional Spanish colonial arts & craftspeople in the world. Similar to Indian Market and occurring just a few weekends beforehand, each year Spanish Market brings over 200 traditional Hispanic artists, continuous live music and dance performances, demonstrations and regional foods, providing a great opportunity for visitors to enjoy a taste of New Mexico's vibrant Spanish culture, both past and present.In conjunction with Spanish Market, which is a showing of traditional styles and wares, there is also a Contemporary Spanish Market, which occurs concurrently and showcases the talents of contemporary Hispanic artists working in mediums from painting and sculpture to ceramics and drawing. Santa Fe Indian Market
- A cultural gem of New Mexico, the Santa Fe Indian Market has been taking place for over 80 years! The Market includes over 1,000 Native American artists from about 100 tribes across the United States who show their work in over 600 booths. The event attracts an estimated 100,000 visitors to Santa Fe from all corners of the the world. Buyers, collectors and gallery owners come to Indian Market to take advantage of the rare opportunity to meet artists face-to-face and learn about contemporary Indian art and culture.There are demonstration booths, a youth market, and food vendors to add to the overall event. Quality is the hallmark, as SWAIA sets the standards for different classifications in which participants sell.The Santa Fe Indian Market is held the weekend after the third Thursday every August. The event is free and open to the public as it is held on the Plaza and surrounding streets in downtown Santa Fe, NM.
