Memorial Day Motorcycle Rally
- This year marks the annual celebration of the hottest motorcycle rally in northern New Mexico. Red River is one of the most popular tourist destinations due to its scenic location and great climate. Centrally located in the beautiful north central mountains of New Mexico, Red River is the closest resort area to Texas and Oklahoma, as well as a short drive from Southern Colorado. At 8,750 feet above sea level, Red River is perched high in the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range and surrounded by 1.5 million acres of the Carson National Forest. You can also participate in The Annual Steve Stucker's "RALLY in the VALLEY" to benefit the Make a Wish Foundation Sponsored in part by Auslander Condominiums. Steve Stucker's RALLY in the VALLEY DATE TBA in Red River from TIME TBA. Steve will lead the RALLY in the VALLEY on a Guided Tour of some of our states most beautiful scenery, including Bobcat Pass, Cimarron CanyonState Park, Eagle Nest Lake, & the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Angel Fire (where you'll have time to pay your respects & look around). You'll get Lunch LOCATION TBA, RAFFLES AND PRIZES WILL BE AVAILABLE...& a Limited Edition T-Shirt commemorating the ride. All proceeds benefit the MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION of New Mexico. MAW fulfills the fondest Dreams for kids with Life Threatening Conditions, and provides about 100 Wishes per Year in NM. Early registration is just a $25 tax deductible donation to Make A Wish. Monday begins with CMA non-denominational services followed with a ride up to Angel Fire for the parade and ceremonies at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial State Park in Angel Fire. Many rallies claim to have the most beautiful scenic rides. There is no way to really compare one area of our beautiful country to another, but Red River is definitely one of the top picks for the most scenic riding at a rally. Annual Classic Car Show
- Classic, hot rod, and show cars cruise into Red River for this exciting Car Show. Browse all types of vehicles including classic trucks, restored antique cars, American muscle cars, low riders, hot rods and much more. Gates open at 9:00am and close at 4:00pm. Annual Fine Art & Wine Festival
- Come experience some of the finest art, wine, music, and food from all around the southwest. The Red River Chamber of Commerce is celebrating the Annual Fine Art & Wine Festival, Father’s Day weekend in Brandenburg Park. Come experience the picturesque town of Red River, New Mexico, while tantalizing your taste buds with fine wines and delicacies. Pay just $10.00 for a commemorative wine glass and eight tasting tickets. Peruse some of the most elegant pieces of fine art, pottery and photography. Partake in a silent auction on Saturday. Combine all this with easy listening music and a spectacular mountain backdrop and you’re sure to have a weekend to remember! Jazz artists will be performing throughout the event along with DJ Randy Moore. The Progressive Dinner will be Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Ticket holders will receive special seating, and transportation along with elegant menus from four different restaurants created for this night only. Annual 4th of July Parade
- Be a part of this time honored tradition in Red River. The Parade will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. and will proceed westward down Main Street. Red River High Mountain Half Marathon & 5K
- The Red River High Mountain Half Marathon is a beautiful, challenging, high altitude race from the historic mining town of Red River along Highway 578 through Red River’s Upper Valley. The 13.1 mile course runs along the Red River with amazing mountain peaks surrounding the runner, including Wheeler Peak, the highest point in New Mexico. You will begin at 8750 feet. The out and back course will gain approximately 700 feet on the way out, and the return is definitely the easier part of the run. This course is for the athlete who likes a challenge. Annual Enchanted Circle Century Bike Tour
- The Tour begins in Red River, 8 a.m. Saturday morning in front of the Red River Community House. The route is from Red River to Questa to Taos to Angel Fire, through Angel Fire to Black Lake and back through Angel Fire to Eagle Nest and back to Red River. We will have five rest stops, three to five sag wagons and EMS driving the circle. The elevation begins at 8,750 ft. in Red River, goes down to 7,500 ft. in Questa, down to 7,000 ft. in Taos, then up to approximately 9,000 ft. in Palo Flechado Pass, up to 9,820 ft. in Bobcat Pass and then glides back down into Red River. There is a 25 mile and 50 mile out and back, and a 100 mile tour. This is a scenic, high altitude alpine ride through the beautiful Sangre de Cristo Mountains in the Carson National Forest. The ride takes you through historic Taos, and alongside two of New Mexico’s state parks - The Vietnam Memorial & Eagle Nest Lake, as well as challenging you to take on Palo Flechado Pass & Bobcat Pass. This event is sponsored by the Town of Red River, the Red River Chamber of Commerce, the Red River Bike Club, Chamber businesses, and other select businesses. Annual Oktoberfest
- No need to travel all the way to Germany to experience Oktoberfest! The unique alpine feel of Red River will give you the full Oktoberfest experience without the cost of a trip. Come to Red River and enjoy Oktoberfest in our cool little mountain town! This year's Oktoberfest will be held in Brandenburg Park, which is located in the center of beautiful Red River. Friday is "Beer Judging" day, Saturday is "College Day", and Sunday is the "Last Call for Fall". Microbreweries from around the region gather in Red River to participate in Oktoberfest, an event like no other! Last year the beer tasting contest was a huge success, so we will once again have the contest with the following categories: Best Lager, Best Amber, and People’s Choice. Our Oktoberfest offers traditional German music, food, micro beer, a Ms. Oktoberfest contest, stein holding, brat eating contests, yodeling, and art and crafts vendors. Every year the festival draws huge crowds from all over the Southwest and has become a must to experience! $5 admission fee and you can buy your commemorative taster mug or stein when you get to the park. Gates are open from, 10am to 6pm on Friday & Saturday, and from, 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
