- Come and learn about Native American Heritage as it relates to the Hisory of the Firelands and Early Ohio. Sacred Circle Equestrian Unit with Pearl Graves and Friends on their Pinto Ponies. Also demostrations on Pottery, Bark, Gourds, Buffalo Lore, Storytelling, turtle talk, drum cermony, native flute, bead making, sign language, Cherokee Medicine man, pole of prairie grass in Indian culture, Indian archaeology. - Pioneer Days is the event of the year where the village comes alive with reenactors covering the 19th century. See lots of vendors and re-enactors from various periods, including the Civil War. - A wonderful time to step into the Christmas of years gone by, the buildings at Historic Lyme Village are decorated in various time periods for your enjoyment. Music, re-enactors, and refreshments are on hand. A Christmas Eve service is conducted in the Detterman Log Church located at Historic Lyme Village at 11 p.m. Dec 24.
