Grand Opening
- Visit the new Ottawa Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center located at 14000 W. St.Rt. 2 just 15 miles east of Toledo, and 16 miles west of Port Clinton. There will be a morning bird walk at 9 am. You can see Ohio's Winning Jr. Duck Stamp entries. Visit with Don and Lilliam Stokes "America's First Family of Birding" at 1:30 pm on Saturday. - The event will start with a chicken dinner. After dinner Mr. Dunn will speak on shorebird identification, with a book signing to follow. Auto Tour at Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge
- The refuge offers an auto tour, weather permitting. Travel seven miles through normally closed areas of the refuge. Begin at the visitor parking lot where you pick up the auto tour guide. Travel the route at your own pace. The gate is open from 9 am-4pm. The exit gate closes at 5:30 pm.
