45th Ox Roast Fair
- Plan to attend the largest, 3-day fair in Northern Portage County, held the 3rd full weekend in July. The 45th Annual Ox Roast Fair has plenty of fun to keep the whole family entertained including: delicious food; live entertainment; air-conditioned dining hall; a variety of rides, games, contests & giveaways, tractor, truck & semi pulls; indoor & outdoor casino areas with instant bingo & much, much more! Of course, that famous Ox Roast beef has always been a part of the fair. Thirty-five hundred pounds of high-quality sirloin roasts are prepared in brick-lined pits which are heated up several days before the fair with a constantly burning fire & cooked for hours until done to perfection. The result is a delicious, slow-cooked beef sandwich or dinner that melts in your mouth! Do the kids say they're bored? This wonderful community event has plenty to please the kids & all of you kids at heart. Families will find "Kid's Ox Land" with Children's Games including the duck pond, turtles & a few surprises, Face Painting & a Step 2 play area. Don't miss a great crowd-pleaser at the Kiddie Tractor Pulls & Frog Jumping Contest. Those that enjoy a little gambling may want to try their luck at our indoor or outdoor casino. Casino games including Black Jack, Over & Under, Sic-bo & a Roulette Wheel, a variety of instant bingo games, the Quarterfall trailer & a Cake Booth where you'll find many delicious homemade baked goods. A very popular favorite of many fair-goers is the Truck, Tractor & Semi Pulls held each day of the Fair. Come out & enjoy the Antique Tractors Pulls (1957 & Older), the Tractor Pulls & Semi Truck Pulls, the Garden Tractor Pulls & the 4WD Pick-Up Pulls.
