11 Vernal Equinox Walks - Special guided tours offered at Oklahoma's only prehistoric Native American archaeological site open to the public. Each tour will be one mile of easy walking and about two hours in duration. Archaeologist and Manager Dennis Peterson will tell about the Mound Center, excavations, and why some mounds line up to solstice and equinox sunsets. Handicap Accessible. Tours at 11am, 2pm, 7pm.

14 Annual Car Show & Crafts Festival - Come to see all the great cars and enjoy the festivities. There is something for everyone @ the "Biggest Little Festival in Eastern Oklahoma." This year we have independent judging.

We will have the exciting Jambulance again playing all the great "oldies" and giving away door prizes, plenty of great food and crafts, and of course the many different styles of autos for everyone to enjoy.

Spiro Mounds Archeological Park

Oklahoma's only archaeological park, is a 150-acre site encompassing 12 southern mounds which contain evidence of an Indian culture that occupied the site from 850 A.D. to 1450 A.D. The Mounds are considered one of the four most important prehistoric Indian sites east of the Rocky Mountains.
