Annual Foothills Classic Car Show
- The Foothills Classic is taking a hiatus in 2022 but will be back in 2023, the first Saturday in August! Annual Foothills Classic, featuring cars/trucks, tractors, and motorcycles. Registration 10-12am and show time is 12:00-3:30pm. Trophies will be awarded in 31 judged classes along with participant's and people's choice trophies at 3:30pm. Kid's Pedal Pull begins at 1:00pm. Wessington Rummage Sale Rescue
- Inspired by HGTV's hit show "Flea Market Flip" and sponsored by "SACOTA." $20 per team - Find your creative friends and dig deep through the Wessington Springs City-Wide Rummage Sale for a piece of furniture, scrap metal or any item that you can RESCUE and FLIP OUT. Just imagine ... the window becomes a coffee table. An old bicycle is used as the base of a table. A crib is cut down and transitioned to a bench. An old door becomes a shelf. Turn an item into something new. The rules are simple: 7:00 - 11:00 Register your 2 - 4 member team at Shakespeare Garden Find an item to "RESCUE" at the Wessington Springs City-Wide Rummage Sale. Take a picture of the item and the person that you bought the item from and send it to Vicki Harmdierks by noon. 605-770-8627 Take at least three additional pictures of the item during the rescue process. 3:30 - Take your "RESCUE" to the tennis court at the city park to be displayed, the items will be auctioned off during the RibFest. Team members will receive 50% of the sale. Sacota and WS Area Development Corporation will each receive 25% of the sale. Holiday Spectacular
- Tree lighting on Main Street, the shops, the music, the Christmas feels... the magic. Wessington Hometown Christmas
- It's the most wonderful time of the year!! Santa Saturday, 11:00am - 12:45pm. Visit Santa in the historic and beautiful United Methodist Church. Free Will Lunch - 11:00am - 1:00pm. After Santa, grab a quick lunch at the Community Senior Center before heading to the park. BBQ, chips, cookie, and water. Winter Park Kick-off - 1 - 3pm. Hay rides and hot cocoa at the Field House. Watch out for the mean ole Mr. Grinch! Santa and his elf will come visit too. Bring socks and mitten donations for our needy friends.
