July

3 - 4 Fourth of July Celebration - The Menno Fourth of July Celebration starts early with the Menno Road Races. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and the race starts at 8 a.m. at the Fire Hall at 302 S. 5th St. Races include a 10K, 5K and a kids' one-mile race

The annual 4th of July Parade will be held on July 3rd beginning at 11 a.m. The Kiddy Parade starts at 10:50 a.m. All floats are to register in front of the Menno City Auditorium

Following the parade, the Menno FFA Pork Barbecue serves a meal at the Menno City/School Auditorium and the American Legion serves a meal at the American Legion Hall.

The Menno Mad Frogs play a baseball game on July 4 with fireworks at the conclusion of the game, generally around 9:30-9:45 p.m.

Fireworks Sales: The Menno Athletic Club sells fireworks each year as a fundraiser for the summer sports programs for area youth. The stand is open June 27 through July 5 and is located at the corner of Hwy 18 and Pine Street.

21 - 22 Menno Pioneer Power and Toy Show - Featuring: Allis-Chalmers Tractors & Equipment, Maytag Engines, Buick Vehicles

Steam plowing, steam threshing, antique tractors, stationary engines, antique toys and collectibles, restored historic buildings, fun and games. Other activities include kiddies pedal pull, bale throwing, and crafts.

Open Friday all day for exhibitor setup
Gates open at 7:30 A.M. Each Day!
Action starts around 8:00 A.M.

12 Oktoberfest - German meal from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Menu consists of homemade sausage, potatoes, sauerkraut, baked apples, cheese, liver sausage, sour watermelon, buns, and a huge salad bar. Fresh baked kuchen and coffee are served for dessert. At 7:30 the Link Union Show performs.
