Grace Coolidge Musicale 1 - Abigail Charbeneau and Catherine Dornin present the first of three piano recitals on the famous Grace Coolidge piano.
An afternoon tea follows at the Wilder House Restaurant.

18 - 19 Vermont Days - For 2 days, all State Park day areas, State owned Historic Sites and the VT Historical Museum are open to the public free of charge. June 10th is Free fishing day statewide.
There will be free ice cream at some parks, free fishing workshops, free concerts and free traditional crafts demonstrations.

President Calvin Coolidge Birthday Parade - Commemorate the birthday of the only president born on Independence Day. March from the village green to the cemetery where a wreath from the White House is laid at the President's gravesite. A chicken barbecue follows at the Wilder House Restaurant. Parade starts at 12:00 Noon and led by the Vermont National Guard. Elena Dodd performs as Eleanor Roosevelt at 2:00 PM sponsored by the Vermont Humanites Council.

John Quincy Adams - Spirit Unconquerable - Jim Cooke's new performance is based on yet another cranky Yankee - John Quincy Adams, son of our second president and of the indomitable Abigail Adams.
He wrote poetry, loved theater, opera and good company. He held informed views on all subjects.
See him in the last decade of life defend the Amistad Africans before the Supreme Court and fight the slave-master's Gag Rule in the House of Representatives. Truly, he was Old Man Eloquent.

The Roaring Twenties in Fox Trot Tempo - Perhaps more than any other decade, the history of the 1920s is captured in the popular music of the day.
From Lindbergh to Ford's Model T, from the Scopes Trial to the Florida land boom and the crossword puzzle craze, the music of the 1920s tells the story.
Martin Bryan traces historical events, from the sublime to the ridiculous, and illustrates them with archival recordings.

Classic - Admire several dozen vintage Packard cars when the Mid-Atlantic Packard Club visits Coolidge's hometown during its tour of Vermont. The club arrives around 9:30 AM and will be at the site during the morning.

10 - 11 The Plymouth Folk and Blues Concerts - Nashville and local musicians team up for a lively two-day festival of folk and blues music performed in the pure country air of historic Plymouth Notch. Organized by Jay Ottaway and the Vermont Division for Historic Preservation. On Saturday Jay Ottaway, Kate McDonnell, Rebecca Hall & Ken Anderson will perform. On Sunday Meg Hutchinson, Alastair Moock and a Special Guest will perform.

Coolidge Christmas Open House - Enjoy an old-fashioned Christmas in one of Vermont's most charming villages. Visit the Coolidge Birthplace, traditionally decorated for the season, and winter exhibits at the Aldrich House, Plymouth Cheese Factory, and 1924 Summer White House office. Old-time music, craft demonstrations, wagon or sleigh rides, special cancellation at the historic Plymouth post office, and children's holiday activities.
