Lake Shelbyville Campgrounds Visitors to Lake Shelbyville can expect to find a variety of outdoor recreational opportunities. If your favorite pursuit is camping, you can choose from close to 1500 campsites in areas operated by the Corps, the State of Illinois, and Sullivan Marina and Campground.

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Campgrounds

Bo Wood - located south of Sullivan, offers 82 campsites with electric hookups. Boat ramp, courtesy dock, drinking water, dump station, fish cleaning station, flush toilets, laundry, playground, showers, telephone (pay)

Go south of Sullivan on Rte 32, 2.6 miles; then west .5 mile.

Coon Creek - located south of Findlay and features 224 campsites with electric hookups. In addition, six campsites feature full hookups. Amphitheater, beach, boat ramp, basketball court, courtesy dock, drinking water, dump station, fish cleaning station, flush toilets, laundry, nature trail, playground, shower, telephone (pay)

Go south of Findlay 2.8 miles; then west .2 mile; then south 1.7 miles.

Lithia Springs - located east of Shelbyville, features 123 campsites with electric hookups. Amphitheater, beach, boat ramp, courtesy dock, drinking water, dump station, flush toilets, laundry, playground, showers, telephone (pay). In addition, Lithia Springs Marina, adjacent to the campground, is a full service marina.

Go east of Shelbyville on Rte 16, 3.2 miles; then north 2.1 miles; then west 1.4 miles.

Lone Point - a secluded campground south of Findlay, offers 93 campsites with four group camping areas. Amphitheater, 11 mile backpacking trail., boat ramp, courtesy dock, drinking water, dump station, fish cleaning station, flush toilets, playground, showers, telephone (pay).

Walleye Group Camp features 10 trailer sites with electric hookup.
Mayapple Group Camp has 8 trailer sites with electric hookup.
Woodchuck Group Camp offers 2 trailer sites with electric hookup and 3 tent sites.
Chipmunk Group Camp features 4 trailer sites with electric hookup and 3 tent sites.

Go south of Findlay 2.8 miles; then east .5 mile; then south .8 mile; then east .5 mile; then south .5 mile.

Opossum Creek - a quiet campground that offers 80 campsites, most with electricity. Boat ramp, courtesy dock, drinking water, dump station, fish cleaning station, flush toilets, playground, showers, telephone (pay).

Go north of Shelbyville on Rte 128, 3.4 miles; then east .9 mile; then south .5 mile; then east 1.2 miles.

State of Illinois Campgrounds

Wolf Creek - There are 304 Class A campsites with restrooms and showers, electricity and picnic tables, and 78 Class C sites. In addition, there are two family tent camping areas, an organized group camp, and an equestrian campground.

A 140-site area in the Lick Creek section has also been designated for reservations. Requests for reservations are accepted starting in January for sites to be reserved between May 1 and October 31.

Eagle Creek - There are 56 Class A Reservable sites with electricity, showers, water hydrants, fire blocks and picnic tables. Class B/S, and Class D sites are available but not reservable. The Organized Group Camp area is reservable.
