Fall River Hunting
category : Hunting
Most lands and waters at Fall River are open for public hunting with the exception of Kansas State Park lands, developed camping, picnicking areas, dam and project operations sites, and refuge areas.
The area is managed for a variety of game and non-game species. There are 8,632 acres open to public hunting. The hunter will find good populations of dove, quail, deer, turkey, rabbit, squirrel, and waterfowl. Fair populations of prairie chicken offer an opportunity to hunt this unique game bird.
Programs of marsh and water management, farming for wildlife food, native plant restoration, prescribed burning, and timber management are used to provide food and cover for a variety of wildlife.
