Longview & Blue Springs Lakes Fishing

A wide variety of fish and wildlife species may be found at the Little Blue River Project. The Missouri Department of Conversation has stocked the Lakes to supplement the existing fish population. The stocking program includes species such as largemouth bass, blue gill, channel cat, and walleye.A Jackson County Parks boating permit is required on Longview and Blue Springs Lake.
Upland games, waterfowl, and furbearers all inhabit the project lands. Visitors are invited to use public lands for wildlife recreation activites such as birdwatching, photography, hiking, and nature study. However, local regulations prohibit hunting, trapping, and discharging firearms.
