Pomme de Terre Hunting

Hunters will find a variety of game, including rabbit, dove, squirrel, turkey, deer, and waterfowl at Pomme de Terre. Hunting is permitted in all areas of the project with the exception of the park areas and administration areas.
Project lands with their deciduous forest, cedar glades and open fields, support wildlife communities which are typical of the Ozark region. White-tailed deer are found in the area along with small game and fur-bearing animals such as the cottontail rabbit, beaver, fox and gray squirrels, raccoon, opossum, spotted and striped skunks, red and gray foxes, woodchuck, coyote, muskrat, mink and eastern chipmunk.
