Proctor Lake has 4 parks for camping or day use activites with RV, tent, screened shelter, and group camping facilities. The parks include: Copperas Creek Park, Sowell Creek Park, Promontory Park, and High Point Park.
Copperas Creek Park is located on FM 2861 off of Highway 377. The park has 66 campsites with water and electric hookups, 6 of which also have sewer hook-ups. Tent camping is also permitted. There are four restrooms throughout the park. Three of the restrooms are equipped with showers. Two group areas provide a place for large groups to gather. These areas must be reserved in advance. There are two boatramps located on opposite ends of the park to provide convenience for all campers and visitors. There are two fishing piers equipped with solar lights for fishing after dark. The Day Use Area has picnic tables and a swimming beach for visitors just wanting to spend the day. There are also fishing areas located in front of and behind the Proctor Lake Dam that are accessible through the Copperas Creek Day Use Area. Sowell Creek Park is located off of 377 in Proctor on FM 1476. Sowell Creek Park has 61 campsites with water and electric hook-ups, 7 of which have sewer available also. There are two group areas to accommodate large groups. These areas must be reserved in advance. There are five restrooms throughout the park. Four of the restrooms have showers. Two boatramps, both with courtesy docks, are located at opposite ends of the park for the convenience of all campers and visitors. There are two fishing piers. The Day Use Area has three swimming beaches with picnic tables and a playground to accommodate visitors just wanting to spend the day. Promontory Park is located on FM 2318 off of Highway 16 just South of DeLeon, Texas. There are 86 campsites in Promontory Park, of which 53 have electric and water hookups. There are three group areas to accomodate large groups. These areas must be reserved in advance. There are six restrooms located throughout the park. Two of the restrooms have showers. A boatramp is located at each end of the park to provide convenience for all campers and visitors. A swimming beach has been placed at one end of the park to help ensure safe and enjoyable swimming.
