Event Details
Seasoned cattlehands ride along with the greenhorns and 'city slickers' in an old west cattle drive straight out of the 1800s. If you would like to ride some outstanding scenery along the Canadian River and eat some home style cookin' then this is the ride for you. This cattle drive has it all. Your paid registration gets you three days in the saddle or wagon, great food, campfire entertainment, and the best people you'll ever find in Northwest Oklahoma. We will be pushing the cattle about 30 miles in three days. At the end of the ride on Saturday, Vici will host a parade for the riders, fish fry, ranch rodeo, and dance.
The Great Western Trail Drive will begin the festivities as riders drive cattle down Vici's Main Street. Vendors displaying arts and crafts will be in town for your enjoyment during the day. Join us for supper at the Lions Club's annual fish fry held at the fire station. Then strap on your spurs and hold onto your seats for the Ranch Rodeo. Watch as cowboys do some wild cow milking and bronc riding. After the rodeo dust off your boots to finish the evening dancing to the music of a live band at the fire station.
Remember the COGGINS test are required for ALL horses!
