Tsa-La-Gi Ancient Village

The Tsa-La-Gi Ancient Village has been hailed as one of America's finest living museums. It recreates the lifestyle of the Cherokees during the 16th century, prior to European contact. Realistic in design, the Village captures the living conditions of the Cherokee People. During the summer months, guided tours are given through the Village where visitors hear narratives about Cherokee history and customs, and witness villagers going about their daily routine. These tasks include preparation of food, making arrowheads and weapons, weaving baskets, playing stickball, working with clay, pottery and beads.
The inhabitants play equally important roles in carrying out the authenticity of the Village.
Admission: $8.50 Adults, $7.50 College Students w/ID, $7.50 Seniors (55 +), $5 Youth (5-18). Free under 5 and CNHS members.
Hours: Open daily, Mon-Sat, 10am-5pm / Sun 1pm-5pm. Closed month of January
