Historic Tour

The Chamber of Commerce has designed a walking/driving tour of historic sites throughout Aurora including sixteen historic buildings and homes dating from 1880 to the early 1900

The Scott home was built in 1906 for $38,000 taking 20 laborers and two years to build. The light fixtures are attached to gas and electric lines.

The front second floor room was built for a Billiard Room. There are designed parquet floors on the first floor and stained glass windows. There is a back staircase for access to the maid's room.

Missouri Pacific Train Station Museum

The Chamber of Commerce, the original railway depot station, was completely remodeled with a lot of hard work, dedication, and voluntarism from local citizens. Included in the building is the office of the Chamber as well as an information area, a community room, and the Historical Museum.
