Phelps Memorial Health Center joins with the YMCA of the Prairie of Holdrege, Family Medical Specialties and High Plains Clinic in organizing the annual Silver Run to promote wellness and physical fitness for men and women of all ages. The race is conducted in conjunction with Holdrege's Swedish Days Celebration.
Race brochures will be available after May 10, and may be obtained by contacting Keri Berry, Director of Public Relations and Education. - (below)
The annual event includes men's and women's races at the following distances: 10K run, 5K run, 2 mile run, and 2 mile walk.
All courses are USA Track and Field Sanctioned and Certified. All proceeds raised for the race will be donated to the YMCA of the Prairie in Holdrege.
Early registration is $25 per person through midnight on Thursday, June 19.
Beginning on Friday, June 20, the registration is $30 per participant.
T-shirts and packets will be available for pick-up at Phelps Memorial the evening of Friday, June 20.
Trophies are awarded to the 1st place finishers in each event, in addition, medals are awarded to the top finishers in each of these age categories for men and women:
