Town of Lake Lure
Lake Lure, Gem of the Carolinas, is one of the prettiest and friendliest towns in North Carolina. Beautiful Lake Lure is over 700 acres with excellent water quality. Both motor and non-motorized boats enjoy the lake. A lake permit is required to use the lake. For the tourist we offer one 9 hole and two 18 hole golf courses. We have a variety of motels, hotels, bed & breakfast inns, and campgrounds. Scenic boat tours are available. Shopping, dinning, hiking, boating, golfing, swimming, the list goes on and on. Lake Lure celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2002.
