General Store Cafe
The cafe fare consists of homemade soups and innovatively prepared sandwiches and salads.Plus, we’ve got live music Thursday – Saturday nights from 8-10pm!It looks like the storefront that time forgot, which is perfectly in keeping with the other buildings in beautiful downtown Pittsboro. Walk in, pick one of the colorful ’40s enamel-topped or metal-flaked ’50s chrome-wrapped kitchen tables and have a seat. You can buy anything from organic wine to fresh bread, herbal tea to homemade soaps. Samples are usually scattered throughout the store, and the friendly staff will be happy to let you taste, or provide a description of most anything they offer.
