Guided tours provided daily of the mid-19th-century boyhood home of North Carolina’s “Education Governor.” The site located in Fremont features the restored home, outbuildings, heirloom garden, a one-room schoolhouse and visitor center. Special living-history programs are available and special events scheduled throughout the year
