Lake McConaughy Hunting

Come fall, when campers, water skiers, swimmers, sailboaters and most fishermen have abandoned the lake, Big Mac becomes waterfowl hunting territory. Clear Creek Waterfowl Management Area at the west end of the lake attracts a substantial flock of Canada geese, which are hunted on the controlled-shooting area, as well as on much of the rest of the lake.
