Blue Hole

The Blue Hole is also called “Nature’s Jewel” because of its beautiful clear water. Divers can go down past beautiful rock formations, 81 feet into this natural artesian spring before finding the grate which separates the diving area from the caverns beneath. These caverns are said to be part of the same system as Carlsbad Caverns, and although the surface of the water is 4,600 feet above sea level, it is reported that the bottom of the caverns are equivalent to 100 feet below sea level. Blue Hole is 80-feet wide on the surface and as much as 130-feet across the bottom. The temperature remains a constant 61 degrees year round, and 3,000 gallons per minute of spring water flow in.
