Shawnee State Park

Shawnee State Park, located in Scioto Co. near Portsmouth, offers resort facilities nestled in the largest state forest in Ohio. The ruggedness of these hills earned the area the name “Little Smokies.”

Enjoy golf on the 18-hole golf course. Hike 8 mi. of trails, or try the 60 mi. backpack trail in Shawnee State Forest, which also has 75 mi. of bridle trails & a horse camp.

Turkey Creek & Roosevelt Lakes offer sand beaches. Boating limited to non-motorized & boats w/electric motors only. A marina on the Ohio River offers launching, docking & fuel. Access the river off US Rt. 52.

Fish from shore or on the lakes. Hunting is permitted in designated areas.

Lodge features guest rooms, restaurant, meeting rooms, lounge, 2 pools, game room. 2 bdrm. cottages have kitchens, living/dining areas, porches, bathroom, heat & A/C.
