Lake Hudson Fishing and Wildlife
The Markham Ferry Dam, which was constructed in 1964, created what many call ” the best bass lake in Oklahoma.” A large variety of fish can be caught on Lake Hudson. Species available include largemouth, black, spotted, and white bass, crappie, bluegill, channel catfish, and walleye.
Wildlife is abundant on and around the lake. The whitetail deer can be seen in numbers and is a favorite of sportsmen. The great white pelican and bald eagle can be viewed in large numbers during the fall and winter.
