Old Academy Bed & Breakfast

The Old Academy B & B, circa 1834, is nestled in the quaint and richly historic town of Walterboro, SC. Savannah, Hilton Head, Charleston, Beaufort and Edisto Beach are all just a short drive away. Large Oak Trees grace the roads and bountiful Azaleas bloom in the spring time.
The Old Academy was originally built and used as Walterboro’s first school house. Owners Don and Jean Sterling bought it in 1990 and opened it as a bed and breakfast in 1996. In 1998 they were presented with the William Lowndes Award by the Colleton County Historical Society for preservation of an historic building. SC Bed & Breakfast Assn member.
