Hampton County Historical Museum

Museum includes a second floor cell block that’s unchanged since 1878, with original steel floor and hand tooled iron grill work. A Confederate Room contains memorabilia and uniforms from the period, research materials, period photographs and more. Find a collection of swords from the French Revolution, War of 1812, Civil War and both World Wars in the Military Room. Photographs, uniforms and other items provide insight into the lives of local servicemen.
