Bowie Arts Center

Centrally located on the campus of Erskine College, the modern 14,000-square foot Bowie Arts Center is a museum and art gallery. The center features a unique collection of antique mechanical musical instruments, clocks, decorative arts, glass and porcelain surrounded by appropriate furnishings from the 19th and early 20th centuries. Center also houses a collection of Edward S. Curtis photogravures and old photographs of Abbeville County. The center gallery features a traveling display of art works that revolve approximately every six weeks. Regional works by outstanding contemporary artists hang in the upstairs gallery.
