Fairfield County Historical Museum

The museum is located in a three-story brick 1830 Federal-style former home and ladies’ boarding school run by Catherine Ladd (1850-1870). This National Register site opened as a house museum in the 1970s and features exhibits on Native Americans and local history. A genealogy library for research is manned by D.A.R. volunteers on Wednesdays.
