The National Bean Market Museum

This single story masonry structure was built by the WPA (Works Progress Administration) in 1936 when Lake City had the largest bean market in the world. The museum includes exhibits and displays depicting early farm life in the Pee Dee area. The site includes a syrup mill, a pole tobacco barn and a barnyard setting with animals.
