Lake Moultrie
Lake Moultrie is a 60,000 acre man made lake operated by Santee Cooper. It is known for large fish and abundant wildlife. Public access is through public boat ramps, and the Diversion Canal into Lake Marion and the Pinopolis Locks into the Tail Race Canal leading into the Cooper River. Additional access is provided by the Palmetto Trail leading around the extensive dike system of the lake.
