Bridgeport Historical Museum

The Bridgeport Historical Museum houses artifacts and displays that showcase the city’s history from the late 19th century. Exhibits include a display depicting a downtown store and the household of an early settler in Bridgeport. In addition, there are artifacts from the town’s early coal mining days, including actual coal and maps that the miners used. Other highlights include areas showing a brickyard, a coal company store with facade, a section covering schools, and an archive system with family histories.
