Freshwater Folk Festival

The 3rd Annual Freshwater Folk Festival will be held September 29, 2007 in White Sulphur Springs.

Hosted by Friends of the White Sulphur Springs National Fish Hatchery (FWSSNFH), this daylong, family-friendly event features live music from around the world, homemade food and craft items for sale, and educational activities for all ages. Entertainment and activities are free.

This year’s musical performers are the Carpenter Ants (rhythm & blues), Kike & Miguel (featuring Steve Bloom – music of South America), Packway Handle (bluegrass), and Evolver (jazz).

The mission of the festival is to promote understanding, appreciation, and conservation of our freshwater resources, and to celebrate the local, natural history and culture of White Sulphur Springs and Greenbrier County.

LOCATION: From I-64, take exit 175. I-64 E travelers will turn left; I-64 W travelers will turn right. At the intersection, turn right onto US-60. Go approximately 4.1 miles through White Sulphur Springs to the US Fish and Wildlife National Fish Hatchery entrance on the left.
