The Lions Club Junior Rodeo is held in conjunction with the Harper County Free Fair. This premier event of the rodeo season has drawn together youths up to 18 years old for over 30 years. Each age group winner receives a custom sadddle and runners-up receive hand-crafted spurs.

Some of the events include:

* Stick Horse Barrel and Poles
* Goat Decorating and Tying
* Breakaway Roping
* Ribbon Roping
* Many more events

Age Groups include:

6 and Under
7 – 9
10 – 12
13 – 15
16 – 18

Awards: 5 hand made saddles (best all around by ages)
hand made buckles and spurs (event prizes)
cash paybacks range from $12 – $25 per event
