Hot air balloons launch at dawn over the gypsum dune fields of White Sands National Monument and from various locations around the City of Alamogordo; balloon glow Saturday evening features 12-15 balloons at Alamogordo High School Tiger Stadium. Launches at 7:00 a.m.; balloon glow Sat. evening at dusk
White Sands National Monument is located 15 miles west of Alamogordo on US Highway 70. To the balloon glow: Highway 54/70 to Alamogordo, head east on First Street to Alamogordo High School, corner of Cuba and First.
