The VSO’s TD Bank Summer Festival Tour brings picnicking, music, and fireworks to outdoor venues across the state. Broadway star Sara Jean Ford joins the VSO for hits from the Great American Songbook. Vocal numbers by Rodgers, Porter, and Gershwin share the spotlight with irresistible Benny Goodman big band tunes. Orchestral favorites from the world of opera add drama, fantasy, and exoticism to our songful theme. The concert closes with the traditional 1812 Overture, marches, and fireworks.
