Ashtabula County Covered Bridge Festival

Oct
3–4

A family oriented festival with self-guided driving tours to 16 historic and scenic covered bridges. The festival is headquartered at the Ashtabula County Fairgrounds on Poplar Street in Jefferson, the 2nd weekend in October. At the fairgrounds you will find a quilt show, pancake breakfast, continuous entertainment, crafts, farmer’s market, antique engines and cars, parade, church service, demonstrations, children’s entertainment, draft horse pull, covered bridge souvenirs and of course good food.

Most of the bridges have been adopted by a local community organization and have light refreshments, directions from bridge to bridge, souvenirs and a friendly smile. Driving tour maps are available at the fairgrounds or may be acquired free by logging onto our web page. The driving tour signs are up all year long so people can drive the tour any time of the year. We also provide year round step on tour guide service for motor coaches wishing to visit our bridges.
