Last Concert of the Season. 14 timpani! That’s what it takes to play Phillip Glass’s “Concerto Fantasy for Two Timpanists.” From Chattanooga, John Kilkenny will be joined by Symphony timpanist, Warren Hyer for this exciting work. Cleveland composer, H. Leslie Adams’ Nightsongs, sung by Delaware resident Angel Tyler, are based on the poems of Langston Hughes and others. The concert and season will end with Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony, described as “a feeling of true spontaneity where the notes seem to fly off the page.”
