Hancock Heritage Days

Sep
4–5

The annual Hancock Heritage Days Festival will again focus on the Civil War era. Activities for the weekend include an encampment of Civil War re-enactors who will be doing such living history as drills, skirmishes, church service, court-martial and an officer’s funeral. Other living history re-enactments include Abraham Lincoln, Johnny Appleseed and his brother Nathaniel, and the Underground Railroad. Vintage baseball games will be played all Saturday afternoon and a 2 pm Sunday game with a local “celebrity” team. A Kids’ Korner for hands-on activities, artisans’ demonstrations, period music, antiques appraisals and food vendors will also be part of the scheduled activities. Join us for a weekend of living history!
