Two Centuries of Hungarian Art: A Gift from The Salgo Trust for Education

This exhibition presents about 70 highlights from the largest and most important collection of 19th-20th century Hungarian art oustide of Central Europe (which was recently acquired by the Zimmerli Art Museum). Styles represented include plein-air painting, Art Nouveau, Secessionist, and 20th century avant-garde works. Among the most notable pieces in the collection are five works by Mihaly Munkacsy, the most important Hungarian artist of the 19th century.
