Celebrate Earth Day and National Park Week with this mid-day, casually paced bicycle tour exploring select locations connected to the story of the Wright brothers. By visiting one of the places they observed bird flight, the ride program focuses on the Wright?s application of bird observations in the development of flight theory and practice. Bring your own safe and functional bicycles and personal gear; helmets required. Start time is for registration and orientation. Please arrive early. Estimated duration includes ride time and educational stops at historic sites but does not include pre-ride registration and orientation. Bicycles are subject to a safety inspection. Distance: 15-20 miles; Time: 4 hrs; Difficulty: Easy to Difficult; Route: Streets and bikeway; Advance registration encouraged
