Grapevine Lake

Centrally located in the heart of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex just minutes from DFW Airport, Grapevine Lake offers a variety of outdoor recreation opportunities. Nationally recognized trails, full service campgrounds, and beautiful day use areas surround the 7,276 acre lake which hosts over 2,000,000 visitors, annually.

Grapevine Lake is a Corps of Engineers lake offering camping, trails for biking, hiking and equestrian use, water recreation, picnic facilities, pavilions for large gatherings, hunting, and much more. Grapevine Lake is a popular sailboating and windsurfing lake. The Northshore Trail is an out-and-back mountain biking and hiking trail with terrain that ranges from flat to challenging and extends from Rockledge Park past Twin Coves. Murrell Park offers sites for tent and primitive camping; Grapevine also has two lessee-operated campgrounds, Twin Coves and Silverlake. Boat Ramps in Murrell allow for easy access to the water from the North side of the lake.
