Talimena Scenic Byway

The Talimena Scenic Drive became in 2005 Arkansas’s third and newest national scenic byway. The 54-mile route on Ark. 88 and Okla. 1 rides the ridges of Rich and Winding Stair mountains through the Ouachita (pronounced Wash-i-tah) National Forest, connecting the towns of Mena in western Arkansas with Talihina in eastern Oklahoma.
