Palo Duro Creek Golf Course
Built on the historic Simmons Ranch, the Palo Duro Creek Golf Course is laid out in desert canyons and foothills, and finishes with three holes bordering one of Arizona’s few natural wetlands. The course has classic high desert vegetation and year-round water that attracts many species of rare birds and other wildlife. The course also features steep grades, elevated tees, and some of the finest walk-mowed greens in the state. The front nine is called the Canyon Course (for Portrero Canyon) and the back is called the Lakes Course (with water coming into play on five holes). Both boast panoramic views of the Santa Rita and San Cayetano Mountains.
