Kankakee County Historical Society Museum

The Museum Complex is divided into three main exhibit areas: the Museum, the Taylor 1904, one room schoolhouse, and the 1853, Dr. A.L. Small home (the boyhood home of Governor Len Small). The museum contains a main gallery, a permanent Native American exhibit, a 19th century exhibit, and a sculpture gallery that houses nearly 30 original works by George Gray Barnard who lived in Kankakee during his formative years.
