Anthony City Lake
The lake has been worked on and the water was so low that fishing and boating were basically out of the picture. Due to recent rains the lake does have water in it and is going to be stocked as soon as it \”settles\”.
Recreational pleasures for young and old alike, with an array of facilities, are located just one mile northwest of the City. The 153 acre lake features boating, fishing and leased shoreline cabin sites. Easily becoming a select weekend attraction for camping enthusiasts, the 416 acre tract provides a well developed trailer park. For a variety of visitors, the grounds include picnic tables, playground equipment, bike trails, a paved go-cart track, shelter houses, sand volleyball courts, horse shoe pits, restrooms and showers and a Scout retreat. There is also the Southern Kansas Bowhunter Range and facilities.
